Discussions, quizzes, and homework are all due at various times during a weekly module. Students should plan to invest, on average, 10-20 hours per week in this program.

Many paramedic programs require anatomy and physiology as a pre-requisite. The School of EMS paramedic program incorporates that content into our course.

There is no specific registration deadline for courses. Students are encouraged to register 4 to 6 weeks prior to the beginning of the course. Last-minute registrations may be accepted.

Yes! Every career must start somewhere. The EMT course is an entry-level course that is designed for people with no previous medical experience, and minimal knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Every paramedic starts their career as an EMT and a current certification is a pre-requisite to register for the paramedic course.

Yes, the School of EMS paramedic program is accredited. Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accreditation exists for the protection of students, by establishing standards and examining all areas of the paramedic program to ensure those standards are being met. In short, a student attending an accredited program can be assured he or she is receiving a quality education. There is currently no accrediting body for EMT programs, but each course is approved by the state in which it is taught.
